Keeping Up With Scott 20 Little-Known Details About Scott Disick
You either love or hate the man, but you can't deny the fact that he is super entertaining on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Scott Disick has been a part of the E! Network hit reality show since the series premiere in 2007 as the “bad boy” boyfriend to Kourtney Kardashian.
Since his first appearance, Scott has delivered nonstop laughs through his witty one-liners, outrageous antics and his habit of just blurting out loud what everyone is likely thinking. Though his role on the show isn't the best, he has become a fan-favorite over the years. Scott continues to evolve right alongside Keeping Up with the Kardashians' progression.
Not being a Kardashian or a Jenner, his part on the show doesn't frequently share all those personal details about his inner being. We know he dates Kourtney, we know he shares children with Kourtney, we know he and Kourtney like to split up and get back together, we know why Kourtney usually ends the relationship, but we don't know a lot about the man as an individual.
What makes Scott Disick so popular? What are his deepest secrets? Here are the answers you've been looking for. Check out these 20 details about Lord Disick that you may not have known before.
20 Scott Is An Only Child
The way Scott fits in so well with the Kardasian-Jenner clan, it's hard to tell that he was born an only child. Scott Michael Disick was born on May 26, 1983 to Bonnie and Jefferey Disick in Eastport, New York.
A lot of critics claim it was Scott's wealthy childhood and only-child-status that lead to his out-of-control adult behavior. In the early seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Scott openly flaunted his eccentric partying and his disrespect toward women. It's clear Scott loves to be the center of attention, and this is likely because he always was number one in his family growing up.
19 He Comes From A Line Of Rich Real Estate Developers
Scott has a sense of wealth and royalty about him. This is, no doubt, due to the fact that he comes from some very wealthy real estate agents and was likely raised with lavish treats. Scott's family had money because his grandfather, David Disick was really successful in a lot of different careers.
David was first an attorney on Wall Street until he decided to embark toward high-end “fractional real estate and luxury resort development.”
David has developed numerous luxury resorts, including the infamous Frank Klammer Lodge, known for being the first “private residence club.”
18 Scott's Parents Lost Their Fortune
Scott's late parents, Jeffrey and Bonnie Disick, inherited loads of money from Scott's wealthy grandfather when they were alive.
It isn't completely clear how Jefferey and Bonnie lost their fortune during their life, but we do know they were having some big money troubles by 2012.
In 2012, Jeffrey got in trouble with the law for allegedly stealing money from a bank in New York. He pled guilty to “petty larceny” after being accused of taking around $3,000 from the bank. He was ordered to pay $6,500 in restitution and sentenced to 140 hours of community service.
17 Scott Didn't Graduate High School
Scott definitely knows how to put on a show and make people believe he is royalty, but the truth of the matter is - Scott didn't even graduate high school.
Scott was a student at one of the most prestigious private schools in New York, but based on what he's shared with the public, he spent more time goofing off than studying. According to Money Inc., former classmates to the Lord have said he did not finish and there isn't any evidence to state otherwise. Scott has never addressed the issue, either. Even though he may not have received a diploma, he did get some pretty vulgar nicknames and claimed to take a limo to school every day for a year.
16 He Has Worked As A Male Model
It may be a bit of a stretch to say that Scott was a male model as a teenager since he only really had one gig, but it was a somewhat reoccurring one. At 17 to 18 years old, a baby-faced Scott posed as the male heartthrob on the covers of a series of young adult romance novels.
The pictures were taken in 2001 for Lauren Brooke's Heartland book series. According to In Touch Magazine, teenage model Scott was nothing like the man he is on TV today. The actress who posed with him admitted, “He really just came in, got makeup done, stood in front of the camera and left pretty silently, too.”
15 His Transformation
In an interview for Us Weekly, Scott admitted he used to have really long hair that went to his shoulders. The Scott Disick we were introduced to in the beginning of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was very clean cut with a smooth face and trimmed hair. It would have been hard to imagine anything unkempt on that man.
However, this year, it appears Scott decided he would give his long locks another go. His hair started getting dangerously close to his shoulders and was paired with a shaggy beard. He has since then groomed his beard and cut his hair to the clean-cut Scott we are used to.
14 Scott Drives In Complete Silence
Usually, people love jamming out to their favorite tunes while cruising the town, right? Well, apparently this isn't truth for Lord Disick. According to his interview with Us Weekly, when he drives alone, Scott prefers to turn the music off.
He does this because he enjoys some quiet time to himself. He uses this time alone to think and finds this more difficult to do with any music on. With the constant chaos that likely goes on during his life, it's easy to understand why he would take advantage of any down time alone.
13 Scott's Grooming Habits Are Super Extensive
According to Fame 10, Scott's grooming habits are seriously extensive - probably more so than Sofia Richie's or Kourtney Kardashian's. He takes a 30-minute shower every day and then spends pretty much that same amount of time moisturizing himself with some very expensive cream called Crème de la Mer.
This lotion costs more than $300 for a small five-ounce jar. Scott is definitely a man who loves the finer things in life and he doesn't slack when it comes to the hydration of his skin.
12 He Struggles With Deciding Which Watch To Wear Each Day
If you've ever seen Scott Disick out and about, you're likely to notice the serious bling he wears around his wrist. The Lord is known for having a totally extensive watch collection.
In an interview with Haute Living, according to Money Inc., Scott has claimed it takes him about half an hour each day to choose which watch to wear.
“My biggest choice of the day is the wristwatch.
If the day is professional and I know I have important meetings or am closing a business deal, I will wear what I feel to be the most successful of my watches.”
11 He Is Lactose Intolerant
According to Genetics Home Reference, approximately 65 percent of the human population is lactose intolerant in some degree. Not even Scott Disick could escape the likelihood of this unfortunate condition. As a result to this intolerance, Scott must avoid all dairy products, including cheese, milk and ice cream.
In an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Caitlyn once opened up the topic for discussion after asking Scott about it when he received a hamburger with no cheese from Kourtney. It may be unpleasant for Scott, but he's likely used to it at this stage of his life.
10 He Was Once On MTV's Punk'd Series
Long ago, MTV had a hilarious prank show called Punk'd. The show was originally ran by its creator, Ashton Kutcher, but during the later seasons, the show's co-creator ran things.
During Scott's 2012 episode, they tow away his precious Rolls Royce Phantom and a fake clerk starts blackmailing him and ends up returning a damaged car with a broken token. This was an obviously devastating experience for Scott, who treats his vehicles as his babies, but it was a gut-laughing experience for the audience who go to watch the socialite reality star sweat the whole situation out.
9 He Wasn't A Great Teen
Based on his portrayal on KUWTK, this one shouldn't come as a complete surprise. Scott Disick has a record behind his name. At just 17-years-old, Scott was pulled over for driving 47 mph over the limit! And then, a year later when he was 18, he got in trouble again because he was driving under the influence.
Scott's late teen years also include the weird practice of picking up women in the club and stealing from their handbags later in the evening. Now, the 35-year-old is a father of three, and has hopefully been living on a much straighter path.
8 Scott's Fave Vacation Spot Is Punta Mita - But For Special Reasons
Scott met Kourtney Kardashian in 2006 while partying at the home of Joe Francis in Punta Mita, Mexico. Scott claims he liked Kourtney the minute he saw her, though Kourtney says she didn't develop any feelings until a year later.
These days, Scott still considers Punta Mita his forever favorite vacation location, because it is where he met Kourtney. And the fact that he hasn't been in a relationship with Kourtney for a while now, he still loves it and now takes Sofia there to relax. I wonder if he's told Sofia why he likes the spot so much.
7 He Admittedly Eats Tons Of Snacks In Bed
Kourtney is notorious for following a very strict diet that allows for only organic foods and absolutely bans gluten products. The same cannot be said for Scott; he openly allows for high fat and processed food to be apart of his “diet.”
Before going to sleep at night, he usually treats himself to some Goldfish crackers and pretzels in bed. A lot of people really look down on eating in bed, but apparently Scott is not one of those, despite his cushy upbringing. On a side note: His fav food is Chinese, and he has to eat it at least once a week.
6 Scott Actually Works
Not a lot has been said about Scott's employment status on KUWTK, but the man works really hard. Besides his reality show career, Scott also works with General Nutrition Company, Inc., according to Fame 10. He also manages several other of his entrepreneurial endeavors, including Quicktrim, Rejuvacare, Monte Carlo Perpetual Tan and Amidren.
Scott also makes loads of money just for appearing at clubs and he is President of Calabasas Luxury Motorcars.
"I'm sure a lot of people have no idea what it is that I do. The truth is I work in various industries,”
he told Haute Living in a 2013 interview, according to In Touch Weekly.
5 He Doesn't Like Talking About Himself Or Doing Interviews
Scott Disick hates giving interviews and definitely shy's away from discussing topics of his personal life. He likes to live his life to the fullest but doesn't enjoy having to answer to anyone about his choices.
During his revealing interview with Us Weekly, he clearly stated he doesn't like doing interviews or being asked about himself. This was very ironic since he was giving an interview with the magazine on 25 things people didn't previously know about him. If Scott really doesn't like talking about himself, he probably got into the wrong career field, because he has become a popular reality star who people want to know about.
4 Scott Has A Hard Time In Social Situations
After Scott lost both of his parents months apart a few years ago, his anxiety started getting really out of control. Scott has opened up about his struggles with anxiety and has admitted that it has been a problem for most of his life. When Scott and Kourtney moved to the Hamptons after his parents passed on, Scott had to face it like he never has before.
“I think my anxiety though, especially coming to New York and my parents not being around anymore and her being pregnant, it just feels like it's coming down on me,”
Scott said in an interview according to Fame 10. “I literally just want to jump out of my skin it's that bad.”
3 He Really Is A Lord!
Scott Disick started making people call him Lord Disick. Some people probably found this to be some annoying kind of spoiled rich boy antic of Scott's, but it's totally accurate!
During an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Scott went through an actual knighting ceremony and became official. After pledging himself to English laws, he became an official member of British royalty or a Lord.
“I don't have to be walking around like some peasant. I'm royalty,”
he declared in the episode. He later went on to purchase Lord Disick as an official title.
2 His Inspiration
Ask any grown man who loves cars and the good life as much as Scott what their favorite movie is, there is probably a good chance they are going to say Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Scott has previously stated that his two favorite movies are Ferris Bueller and American Psycho. According to Café Mom, “We can't think of two other film choices that could more perfectly capture the emotionally damaged and fun-loving sides of his personality, respectively.” Ferris Bueller's Day Off is all about living life to the fullest while you can, and Scott seems to live by that motto, too.
1 Scott Was Super Into Hockey And Snowboarding
Scott has admitted sports aren't really his thing. But this in no way means he doesn't enjoy them. Hockey and snowboarding were always a favorite of his growing up.
In an interview, according to Money Inc., Scott stated, “I loved playing hockey and watching hockey when I was growing up. From age 12 to age 16 I was really into snowboarding.” Sports might not be a huge part of his life anymore, but he does occasionally hit the slopes with the Kardashian clan every now and then.
