Maxim online reported that according to researchers at Florida State University, "The results reveal that having a physically attractive (partner) may have negative consequences for [you]." They revealed that if you 'date down' then you are less likely to feel self-conscious and doubting yourself all the time. Sure, we can laugh in the face of these weird crushes but if in some bizarre universe these stars happened to date, they'd make for very happy couples indeed.

Ariana Grande is one of the most desired pop divas on the planet but she seems to have eyes for her "lifelong crush" - comedy legend Jim Carrey.

During an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael she was quizzed over who her crush was and without pausing she confessed, "My childhood crush, like, my lifelong crush, it kind of all goes together - it's Jim Carrey. I love him so much."

The One Last Time singer also admitted that when she finally met her crush, she broke down in tears. Continuing, "I met him, and like, cried. It was really weird. It was so weird. It was so uncharacteristic of me. I'm usually sort of chill. I'm usually somewhat contained, but I met him and [makes crying face]." James Corden is well-known for his daring sense of humor he often shows on The Late Late Show with James Corden, but he certainly looked serious when he announced that former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was his biggest crush.
