The Cast Of 'The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' What They Looked Like In The First Season Vs. Now

Reality television is a guilty pleasure, and a lot of you out there are hooked on The Real Housewives franchise. Admit it! But there are so many spin-offs of this show that at some point, there'll be a series for every major city across America. That's okay though because you love these shows so much that you're for sure going to watch them all. But for the sake of everyone's sanity, let's focus on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This show follows a bunch of gorgeous women who never have to worry about starving because they're super rich and they lead extremely lavish lifestyles.

The series has seen a lot of cast members come and go, and in some cases, you see them less frequently, like Camille Grammer, who went from a regular cast member to recurring while she was on the series. If you're a Real Housewives fan, then you probably live and breathe this show. You might even copy some of the cast members' sassiness. There's nothing wrong about that! But while the quips, quotes, drama, and tears have kept you entertained for years, you can't help but wonder what the cast members have been up to when they're not on the air. To that end, here's a list of your favorite gals from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which we offer you a look into who they were then and what they're up to now.

20 Yolanda Hadid Is Still As Glamorous As Ever

Yolanda joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season 3, and at that point, she was the famous one in the family. Of course, later on, her daughters Gigi and Bella would go on to steal the spotlight as the amazing models they've proven to be. But for three seasons, Yolanda wowed audiences with her stylish get-ups before leaving the series.

Yolanda had a bit of a setback when she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, so she spent a lot of her personal time trying to stay healthy.

She even wrote a book about her condition titled Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease. She also discussed her reality TV show, Making a Model with Yolanda Hadid, which premiered in 2018 on Lifetime, and focused on the modeling world.

In 2016, Rebecca Romijn had allegedly talked badly about Yolanda's daughter, Gigi Hadid, which the actress denied. But it was too late, Yolanda blasted Romijn on Twitter and pointed out all the reasons that her daughter was an incredible woman.

Aside from jetting off to some amazing holidays, which would make even her biggest fans jealous, Hadid has made some interesting changes to her personal life as well. In 2017, she divorced musician David Foster, and a few months after that, she met Matt Minnis, a businessman who stole her heart.

19 Lisa Vanderpump Is A Powerful Business Mogul

Lisa Vanderpump joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2010 and is one of the show's original cast members. Although Lisa was born and raised in London, she spent a lot of time in Monte Carlo and the South of France before settling down in California. She's married to Ken Todd and has three kids, Pandora, Max, and a stepson named Warren Todd. She's also a huge fan of pets, which she has plenty of.

Back when she was in Europe, she designed yachts, homes, and 26 of the restaurants and bars that she owns. But moving to the States hasn't slowed her down at all. Both she and her hubby own three restaurants. One is called Villa Blanca, which is a fancy celebrity hangout in Beverly Hills. SUR is the other restaurant, which has been seen on her spinoff series, Vanderpump Rules. And then there's PUMP, which was called West Hollywood's "Top 100 hot spot restaurants in America" by Open Table.

She's also a major advocate of equal rights and has shown her support for organizations like the Trevor Project. She's even done a lot of charity work for canines. In fact, she even created a foundation called Vanderpump Dogs. Lisa is also Beverly Hills Magazine's editor-in-chief. This gal sure knows how to juggle a lot of things in her life.

18 Kim Richards Is Still Shining Strong

Kim Richards and her sister Kyle joined the series in season 1. She remained a full-time cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for five seasons. After that, she went on to guest star for seasons 6 and season 7. She didn't appear at all in season 8 because she wanted to spend some time with her grandson, Hucksley, who was born in September 2016.

She also wanted to focus more on staying sober and living a healthier lifestyle.

According to Bravo TV, Richards claimed: "My recovery has been amazing and I love how I feel". She spent some time at Skydog Ranch, which provided her with a sanctuary to help her find the peace she needed. She also felt that the ranch allowed her to find things she thought were gone forever. "You can't not find yourself here with the horses and the animals. There is something about it and it gives me self-confidence and self-worth because sometimes people lose themselves and coming here gives me that self-confidence and self-worth that for a long time I thought I lost."

Richards' personal struggles stem from before she even appeared on the show. In the book, House of Hilton, there were references to Kim's mom pitting her against her sister Kyle. The book also hints that the girls were encouraged to marry someone who was rich so that they could amp up the family's reputation.

17 Kyle Richards Thinks Less Is More

Kyle Richards appeared as a main cast member on the reality series in 2010. She also happens to be the aunt of Paris and Nicky Hilton. Richards' claim to fame and fortune began when she appeared in Disney's Escape to Witch Mountain. She's also starred in Little House on the Prairie, and a couple of 70s horror flicks like Eaten Alive and Halloween.

During the first season of the reality series, she kept having issues with her co-star, Camille Grammer, who at the time was married to actor Kelsey Grammer. In one episode, psychic Allison Dubois told Richards that "your husband will never emotionally fulfill you. Ever." Oddly enough, that prediction was better suited for Camille.

Richards eventually married Mauricio Umansky and had three daughters named Portia, Sophia, an Alexis. According to People, as far as whether or not she has learned to embrace how she looks, she claims: "As I've gotten older, it takes me a lot longer to get ready for bed at night. I'm very diligent about my skin and my routine takes more time. However, when it comes to makeup, as I get older, I think less is more." Aside from being a reality star, Richards also owns a boutique called Kyle by Alene Too and has produced her own series called American Woman.

16 Camille Grammer Is A Generous Beauty

Camille Grammer didn't reclaim her maiden name Donatacci, despite the fact that she and her actor husband, Kelsey Grammer called it quits in 2011. In 2010, she became a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She later revealed that her husband wanted to get a divorce on the show's January 13, 2011 episode, which became one of the most watched episodes in cable television.

She eventually went from a regular cast member to a more recurring role - but one thing fans have noticed over the years is that Camille's face remains as fresh today as it did during the first season of the reality hit series.

But personality wise, she's come a long way. She's even loosened up a bit, which has made her more lovable in the eyes of fans.

In fact, many fans remember the time when she playfully walked around wearing a bunny mask in her undies in season one. But Camille has a whole different outlook on life since season one. She's been in a stable relationship with David C. Meyer and has even considered marrying him. She's also bought a new home and is known to donate money for good causes, like the battle against cancer. Asides from being quite the philanthropist, she's still down to earth.

15 Taylor Armstrong Is A Force To Be Reckoned With

Taylor Armstrong was on the show full-time from season 1 to season 3. Over the next three seasons, she would go on to make rare and brief guest appearances. Needless to say, she's always managed to look absolutely stunning. Taylor went through many hassles. She had to endure many financial problems that took a toll on her. After she lost her first husband Russell, she decided to come clean about some of her marriage woes, and a lot of fans felt sympathetic for what Taylor had gone through.

But the network, Bravo, allegedly didn't like some of the storylines that Armstrong brought to the reality series. That's what she told Andy Cohen when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live. When the fourth season began, fans noticed her obvious absence.

Eventually, she came out of the dark, wrote her memoir, Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within, which became a New York Times bestseller. Being the mom of her daughter, Kennedy, it became her mission to set a positive example for her. So every now and then she flies around and gives strong speeches to empower women. She also found love again. In 2014, she and attorney John Bluher got hitched.

14 Brandi Glanville Is Lucky In Love

Brandi Glanville became a part of the series in season 2 and stayed on the reality show all the way up to season 5. Afterward, she made a brief cameo in season 6, but she had a lot going on in her personal life.

Needless to say, a lot of drama happened on the show as well.

Brandi and co-star Faye Resnick had a few issues, stemming mainly from the fact that Resnick didn't really like Glanville. Ouch! But fortunately, it's been a while since the two women have had to deal with each other on camera.

Meanwhile, Glanville went on Celebrity Apprentice and came in fourth place. She also appeared on other reality shows like Famously Single and starred on the UK and US versions of Big Brother. She also competed on My Kitchen Rules, so Brandi's been keeping busy.

After separating from her husband, Eddie Cibrian, she found love again with Donald Friese, a DJ. But in January 2018, the two parted ways. Later on, she proved she was the better woman and made peace with LeAnn Rimes, who is now married to her ex, Cibrian. It became evident that this was for the well-being of her son Jake, who celebrated his 11th birthday in 2018.

13 Lisa Rinna Seems To Be Frozen In Time

In 2014, Lisa Rinna joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during the fifth season. Rinna had always wanted a more exotic life, and with her striking good looks, she eventually became one of the most well-known faces in showbiz.

Aside from appearing on reality shows like Sing Your Face Off, All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, and Dancing with the Stars, Rinna is also well known for her daytime soap opera character Billie Reed on Days of our Lives. You might even recognize her for her role on Melrose Place, where she played Taylor McBride. She's also guest-starred on other shows like Veronica Mars and even hosted her own talk show called Soap Talk. She did such a great job that she earned herself four Emmy nominations in the category of "Outstanding Talk Show Host."

Fans love the fact that she manages to keep herself looking fresh even though she has a lot on her plate like being a New York Times best-selling author. She's written Starlit and Rinnavation. But a gal like this knows how important it is to look trendy, so she promoted her Lisa's Belle Gray by Lisa Rinna collection on QVC. Seriously though, when does she have time to sleep?

Fortunately, she has her family to keep her grounded like her actor-husband Harry Hamlin and their daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray.

12 Adrienne Maloof Handles What Life Throws At Her

Adrienne Maloof started out as a full-time cast member in season 1 and remained on the show until season 3. Shortly after leaving the show, she and her husband Paul Nassif got divorced, but although they couldn't make it work as husband and wife, they managed to find common ground as parents of their son Gavin and their twin boys, Colin and Christian.

Meanwhile, divorce didn't deter Adrienne from dating. She even dated Rod Stewart's son, Sean. She then dated Jacob Busch of the Anheuser-Busch beer company. But would she ever return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills full-time? Well, never say never. She did make a brief appearance in season 8 but nothing's off the table!

Adrienne may have sold the mansion that she and her ex-husband lived in, but she bought another mansion in Beverly Hills that's just as spectacular - so naturally, she's run into her former co-stars like Camille Grammer.

Oh, and about her love life? Adrienne and Jacob Busch had called it quits in 2015, but in 2017, she admitted that the two were giving it another shot. Of course, she's also been quite busy too since she's an entrepreneur. In fact, her family owns a percentage of the Vegas Golden Knights NHL team and the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Needless to say, there's a lot on this woman's plate and she's loving every minute of it!

11 Erika Jayne Always Keeps It On-The-Go

Erika Girardi goes by her professional stage name Erika Jayne, and the singer, actress, and television personality became a full-time member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2015 during the show's sixth season.

Erika loves to travel, which is why she owns her own plane, (OMG! I know!) and she loves to travel with her Real Housewives co-stars Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards. "Those two are the easiest, the fastest - they've been around. I like traveling with them both very much."

Erika felt that the show allowed her to take her desire to travel to the next level. According to Bravo TV, she shared: "To be able to be part of a show where we actually get to go to foreign countries and have a great time is really a privilege. So I've enjoyed every trip, and I think that they just keep getting better for sure."

One thing you probably don't want to do is be late when she invites you on a trip. "I'm like, if you miss the flight, I can assure you I will leave you behind," she added.

After moving to LA, she met her husband, Tom Girardi, who's a famous trial attorney. But aside from making waves as a reality star, she's also rocked it on the US Billboard charts. Her first single, "Rollercoaster" was a hit. She's gone on a world tour and worked with musicians like Flo Rida to develop more singles. Color us impressed!

10 Carlton Gebbia Is Too Busy Spreading Love

Carlton Gebbia joined the cast during the fourth season in 2013. But oddly enough, she didn't get to come back the following season. She considered herself quite a difficult person to be around, which is something she never denied. Then again, she is a passionate individual and that often leads to strong emotions.

On August 2016, she and her husband David decided to end their 18-year marriage. But of course, the drama didn't end because her marriage did. In December 2017, she was accused of allegedly being unkind to her maid, which she absolutely denies.

Gebbia would much rather focus on positive things like animals and nature, two things she loves to pieces, asides from her children, Cross, Mysteri, and Destiny.

Before she divorced David, she helped him run the family businesses, like Stock Cross Financial Services, Rival Sports Group and even had a hand in managing NFL and NBA players as well. She was also the interior architectural designer of Gebbia Custom Estates.

Aside from being a mom and a former reality star, Gebbia also works with a non-profit sanctuary called Wildlife Waystation in LA, which tries to raise money to benefit wild animals. When she's not being a super-heroine for animals, she's practicing "witchcraft," but only the good kind, because she claims she's a Wiccan.

9 Eileen Davidson Is One Busy Actress

Eileen Davidson joined the cast in season 5 and remained a part of the team up until season 7. Although many fans feared that she wouldn't return to the series, there was a glimmer of hope. She went on Twitter to explain why she wouldn't be coming back to the series, but she did hint at the possibility of popping up in the future.

It turns out, she was right all along. She did make a guest appearance on January 30, 2018, on an episode of season 8. There was just one problem. Her reunion didn't air. It ended up being a deleted scene, which showed Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne joining her for a nice dinner. This gave the former reality star the chance to catch up with the girls and learn about all the drama.

According to E! Online, Erika Jayne went into the confessional and said, "Eileen has always been nothing but incredibly kind to me, very supportive. Even though we've had our ups and downs, my fault, and I'm really glad that she's joined us for dinner."

As to why Davidson wasn't able to remain a regular member of the Real Housewives family, the answer was simple. She's been busy working on popular soap operas like The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives. She's also working on other projects like Walk to Vegas and Symphoria, both of which are in post-production.

8 Faye Resnick Loves To Design

Faye Resnick appeared in the series sporadically as a friend of the other housewives throughout the series. Before that, Resnick was in the media quite a lot because of her connection to the OJ Simpson trial. But although she wasn't technically a regular, the television personality really made a mark on the show after she had a bit of a disagreement with Brandi Glanville.

As far as why she hasn't joined the show full-time, Resnick feels that being in the spotlight the way the other Housewives are is simply not for her.

According to allabouttrh.com, Resnick said: "I surround myself with people that I really love. I'm not good at acting like I like somebody. I can't do that." She adds, "I'm too straightforward. I wish I had that gene. But I don't, it's never in me," she stated in reference to being friends with people she didn't necessarily feel comfortable with. "I just constantly wanna like run away, to tell you the truth."

While she might not want to be one of the official housewives, she certainly made an impression. Plus, she loves interior designing and has made a business out of it. Besides, she certainly wouldn't want to risk having a confrontation like the one she had in season 6 with the show's guest star Kathryn Edwards.

7 Joyce Giraud de Ohoven Became An Official Beauty

Joyce Giraud de Ohoven was only on the show as a series regular for season 4, but she has remained close friends with Lisa Vanderpump. In fact, she's even popped up on her BFF's spinoff, Vanderpump Rules. But she has a lot more going for her than reality television.

Not only has she won the title of Miss World Puerto Rico and Miss Universe Puerto Rico, but she has also found that it's a lot more rewarding to work in front of the cameras when there's a script. She's appeared in a lot of film and television projects, like Tyler Perry's House Of Payne, David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and was seen playing Deputy Dana Lang in Jeepers Creepers 3. She's also served as producer of the show Siberia and has executive produced the series Rica Famosa Latina.

Aside from producing things on the big and small screen, she's also involved in children's charity work for UNESCO. As a philanthropist, she has used her charm and her experiences as a beauty queen to create an international pageant called "Queen of the Universe," so other women like her can promote their charity work and pursue whatever life goals they desire.

6 Kathryn Edwards Prefers To Live In Peace

Kathryn Edwards joined the series during the show's sixth season. Despite making quite an impression, she only lasted one season. But does she regret ever having joined the show? This is what she had to say, according to Bravo TV: "I walk away from it all with great feelings. I have no regrets at all. It was definitely an adventure for me. I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn't want to miss another year. It's nice to be able to live life."

During her stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she had several memorable moments between herself and Faye Resnick.

The two had connections to the Simpson trial, which explains a lot of the tension. She doesn't consider herself the kind of person to hold any grudges, but when it comes to Resnick, she claims she makes an exception. Edwards had also had a few skirmishes with fellow cast member Erika Girardi after she told Lisa Vanderpump that Girardi had made some interesting comments about her.

Today she focuses on leading a happy life with her husband, who's retired NFL player Donnie Edwards.

5 Dorit Kemsley Isn't Quite The Villain

Dorit Kemsley made her debut in season 7, and she claims that it wasn't easy for her, so when the season was over, she actually felt relieved. But then again, it's kind of ironic that she was uncomfortable with all the drama since she was behind some of it.

“I think that in this world, you know, there's always a villain and maybe it was just my time,” she clarified in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, according to Reality Tea. She added, “I think things get blown out of proportion, of course, and thank goodness we're not talking about anything that's really dire. You know, a glass, a miscommunication on time.”

Despite the fact that she had disagreements with her friends Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, she was convinced that the relationships she had with these women happened to be strong enough to overcome any issues.

One person whom she couldn't get along with no matter what was Teddi Mellencamp. To prove her point, the Beverly Beach designer created a new line of swimsuits and she named each design after her co-stars, but she left Teddi out. The two have tried patching things up but explains: "I have a very new relationship with Teddi and we've sort of had ups and downs in our relationship.”

Kemsley is also a full-time mom and helps her husband handle the management agency, Nixxi Entertainment, so all that drama between herself and Teddi is like a footnote in her life.

4 Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Is Staying Happy And Fit

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave appeared on the show during the eighth season and in that short time, she managed to really stir the pot. Not only did she tell Lisa Rinna about Dorit Kemsley's unflattering comments - which didn't exactly make her Dorit's favorite person -but she also claimed that Erika had "pretend amnesia". This didn't sit well with Erika Girardi. But as far as the whole Rinna thing went, Teddi insinuated that it came from a good place because Rinna was convinced that Dorit was not being the kind of friend she pretended to be.

Given all the drama that she's caused, it remains a mystery whether she'll be back for season 9 of the show. But then again, she has plenty to keep her busy. Although she's not a certified fitness instructor, she offers clients advice on how to stay fit and provides them with plenty of support to ensure that their progress never waivers.

She's also the wife of Edwin Arroyave, the CEO, and founder of Skyline Security Management Inc., and the two have three children, a daughter named Slate and a son named Cruz, and Teddi is a stepmom to Edwin's daughter from another mother, Isabella.

3 Gigi Hadid Made Waves On The Runway

Although Gigi Hadid wasn't a series regular, her mother Yolanda Hadid was a star, so naturally, she made multiple appearances between season 3 and season 6 before she went on to become a supermodel. Fans of the series remember how Yolanda was there during one of Gigi's photoshoots and how she guided her daughter through the whole thing, encouraging her every move.

In Season 4, Gigi and her sister, Bella Hadid, got the opportunity to look through their mom's closet to find some lovely ensemble pieces before Gigi left for London to take on a modeling gig. It became obvious that she was close to her mom too. Yolanda even gave her advice on how appearances were important in order to land on top in the modeling industry.

Fans also got to watch as Gigi prepared to make a huge move to New York City in order to attend college and to continue to further her modeling career. Yolanda also joined her daughter so she could help her set everything up in her new place.

In 2013, Gigi signed on to IMG Models. In 2016, she was named International Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council. In what seems like a short number of years, she's managed to become a sensation in the modeling industry and the number of Instagram followers certainly agree. Gigi is simply one unbelievable young girl!

2 Mason Grammer Is Sashaying Her Way Into The Industry

Although her dad, Kelsey Grammer, is a huge star, her mom, Camille, didn't do so bad for herself as a reality star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And since Camille has custody of her daughter, it made sense that she would pop up on the reality series, even if it was only briefly.

But it looks like mom and dad will have to move over because there's a new Grammer in the spotlight: Mason, who is 16, signed on with DT Model Management Agency in 2018 and is taking the fashion industry by storm in front of the cameras.

Her blonde hair, beautiful gaze, and ethereal looks have continued to wow the industry, and like most aspiring models, she's used Instagram to show off some incredible shots. In fact, back in September 2017, Camille watched as her daughter walked the runway during Malan Breton's New York Fashion Week. It was the first time Camille had seen her daughter participate in this event, but this was the third Malan Breton event that Mason had been in. Camille also got the chance to walk the runway alongside Mason. The reality star then proudly shared a photo of her daughter on social media.

1 Portia Umansky Knows How To Throw A Party

Portia is not one of the Real Housewives, but she is the daughter of one. Her mom, Kyle Richards, knows how to play around with makeup, and now so does Portia, who was only born in 2008. The 10-year-old really managed to impress her mommy when she got herself all glammed up with red lipstick, some lashes, and mastered the art of smoky eyes. Richards was definitely proud of her daughter and decided to share her accomplishment on her Instagram Story. "Why color when you can color your face?" She wrote.

When Portia turned 10, she had a Coachella-themed birthday at Sky Zone in Van Nuys, California. Her friends enjoyed all sorts of fun activities but everyone loved the tie-dyed cake which was simply unbelievable. Of course, Portia was the star of this kid-chella themed party and she took amazing shots.

Richards couldn't stop talking about how adorable her daughter's birthday party was, according to Bravo TV. She also paid tribute to her daughter on Instagram and wrote: "Portia, happy birthday to you our littlest angel. I love you so much and am forever grateful that we were blessed with you as our daughter. You bring us so much happiness, love & laughter. You are an old soul who has so much wisdom for a 10-year-old. 10 [years] old! Double digits woohoo!" Kyle shared. "I love you SO much. Wishing you an abundance of good health, love, laughter and happiness. That's all you need." This mother-daughter relationship is certainly making us totally jelly!
